Overview

The Alex Roitman Tango Ensemble (ARTE) is a bandoneon-led ensemble presenting authentic Argentine tango in concert settings. The group performs traditional tango and modern concert tango repertoire in a chamber music format designed for professional presentation contexts.

ARTE performs primarily as a quartet, with expanded ensemble formats available for select programs.

Artistic Profile

Led by bandoneonist Alex Roitman, ARTE combines classical training with deep stylistic immersion in Argentine tango tradition.

Repertoire includes traditional tango and modern concert tango (Astor Piazzolla, Alfredo Gobbi, Osvaldo Pugliese, Horacio Salgán, among others).

Ensemble

All musicians are professional performers active in classical, jazz, and tango performance contexts.

Artist Bio

Alex Roitman is a bandoneonist, arranger, and composer active in the U.S. tango scene. He is a silver medalist in the 2022 Che Bandoneon International Competition.

He has performed as a soloist with the Worcester Symphony Orchestra and in Misatango productions, in addition to extensive work in tango orchestras and ensembles across the United States.

His work focuses on authentic tango interpretation and expanding concert tango repertoire through performance and arrangement.
